Hopefully most of the summer heat is already behind us. But, I know from past experience that hot days in September can (and do) creep up. So, if you’re in for warmer weather be sure to take the advice of our guest blogger!
Rise and Shine
I find that the proverb “the early bird catches the worm”, really reigns true during the dog days of summer when you are choosing the best time to get your training in. I am pounding the pavement at 6:15 am. The sun is barely up which means less time to burn the road, and the temperature is slightly cooler.
I will run a shorter distance and bring my flat water bottle to stay hydrated as well. For me it’s worth the effort to still get your activity in before the morning even starts.
