Running Quote Run Anyway

Randy Ganther, owner of MaxFit Weight Loss says, “This is a quote I just made up a long time ago”…

“I might not want to do it, but I’m going to do it anyway.”
– Randy Ganther

I’d always hear people saying, “I don’t feel like this.” or “I don’t feel like that.” etc. My response was always, “Yeah, I don’t feel like it either, but I’m going to do it anyway.” Of all the things that are good for us, and make us better, there aren’t a lot that are truly fun to do. When I work out I don’t enjoy the workout, I enjoy what I get out of it. I don’t enjoy the pain that comes with it, I enjoy the fact that I was able to push myself and complete it. I don’t want to get out of bed in the morning, but I do it anyway because I love all the things during the day that come AFTER I get out of the bed. You don’t have to love the things you do that make you better, but you better do them anyway, whether you like them or not.

I am in full agreement with Randy! It is highly unlikely that you’ll see me running across the grass lit up with a beaming grin of sheer joy. No. You’ll see me pushing harder, sweating uncomfortably, and checking my watch in hopes it’s almost over!

More often than not, we enjoy the benefits of running more than the act of running itself. So, when I read Randy’s favorite running quote, it reminded me of my own mantra, “Run Anyway”.
